Finding New Beginnings

“When one door closes, another opens.”

Back in September, when we had to stop shipping to the U.S. due to the new tariffs, it hit us hard. The timing couldn’t have been worse — right in what would have been our peak season for Christmas. Orders slowed, and for a while, so did we.

But in that quiet, we found space to think.

I pulled out my old sketchbooks, the ones filled with years of ideas, fabric swatches, and notes on things I always dreamed of making. As I flipped through those pages, I realised how much I’ve always wanted to spend more time creating fabric pieces.

So instead of dwelling on what we’d lost, we decided to see this as a moment to begin again.We started sourcing the materials that we love, testing different fabric and wadding combinations, prototyped and failed, just like what we did three years ago.

 

From Sketchbooks to Something Real

Say Hello to ISLA, our new Linen-Cotton Kid's Room Collection

We took a leap of faith once more, and turned those sketches into something real. Our new room decor collection, ISLA, was born, featuring a soft and fun combination of linen blend fabric, gingham and cotton wadding. It felt like a restart of what we began, with the same mix of excitement and uncertainty. What hasn’t changed is our purpose: to bring natural, sustainable options to us, and our Little Ones. 

We are not out of the tunnel yet, but that closed door wasn’t an ending at all. It simply opened a new path to us, one that probably will bring us closer to what we’ve always wanted to do.
